The pictures above shows two typical examples of a lateral flow membrane, qualitative or quantitative. One with cassette and one without (single strip). Both - as shown -can easily be embedded with the Skannex Bar Code. The Skannex Lateral_flow_reader can read cassettes with theoretically any number of strips mounted. Also - there is no theoretical limitation of the number of analytes on a single strip / membrane. The Lateral Flow Reader will adapt to any practical number. One scanner can house many different cassettes. The Skannex application will read them all in one single scan!
The unique Skannex-BarCode (patent pending) created to be used on lateral flow single strips or cassettes provides all information needed to:
- Automatically identify each assay and find the correct standard curve and lot number
- Automatically time the incubation for each assay
- Perform quality control of image and data, thus opening up for the use of low-end camera technology
Windows and Linux compatible technology ensure optimal and very competitive solutions. Use standard off-the-shelf hardware.
All you need to perform an objective and reliable analysis of qualitative, semi-quantitative and quantitative assays, is a PC and an ordinary office type scanner. Or a cell phone with a camera. The system is also excellent for drug and abuse screening and documentation.
