Capturing images for evaluation with a
digital camera
If you do not have access to a scanner,
please use this guide to capture images of your assays:
- The camera resolution has to match a resolution
equal to 300 DPI. This equals 300 pixels per inch (PPI).
If you cassette is e.g. 2x1 inches, and the image area is only
showing the cassette, the perfect size would be 600x300 pixels
If you capture an image of e.g. 7 cassettes of 2x1 inches next
to each other (14x1 inches), then the image must be 2100x700
pixels (or the area of the cassettes in the image)
NB: You need to ensure that the light source is set in
an optimal and direct way to try to avoid shadows in the test
area of the membrane.
- A sample of a perfect sized image of a cassette
2,7x1,4 inches or 6,8x3,5 cm of 806x419 pixels
